What a Typical Empire Job Looks Like
Most of what we do falls into four buckets. General pest control is the steady one — ants in a kitchen, roaches in an apartment block, spiders in a garage, mice coming in as the weather turns — usually handled on a quarterly agreement so the same technician knows the property. Termite work is the other half of the calendar: inspections, liquid barriers, and pretreats poured before a slab goes down on a new build.
Bed bug jobs are their own category and often the most urgent. A good share of them are multi-unit — apartments, rentals, motels — where the units either side of the problem get treated at the same time, because treating one door and leaving the rest is money wasted. Alongside all of it we seal crawl spaces and fit moisture barriers, automated vents and dehumidifiers, which is frequently what stops a termite or moisture problem coming back. Carpet and upholstery cleaning rounds out the list.
The jobs are spread across Eastern North Carolina — Wilson, Rocky Mount, Greenville, Goldsboro, Zebulon and Roanoke Rapids, and as far as Virginia. A fair amount of the work is commercial rather than residential — rentals and apartment blocks, offices, restaurants, warehouses — and a lot of it is ongoing rather than one-off, on a quarterly agreement where the same technician comes back and already knows the building. That is usually the cheapest way to handle a property that has had trouble before, because the problem gets caught early instead of after the damage is done.
